Sources and methodology.
1958 and legacy 1980/2001 male nonsmoker values were checked against the original TriQuest One on One workbook. Official mortality-table references are the Society of Actuaries Mortality and Other Rate Tables (MORT) and the SOA 2017 CSO table files. 2017 uses the Loaded CSO Smoker-Distinct Ultimate, Age Nearest Birthday tables. 2001 uses loaded CSO smoker-distinct ultimate ANB tables. 1980 uses loaded smoker-distinct ANB tables. Rates are shown per $1,000 of amount at risk. The illustrative annual amount is simply Amount at Risk ÷ 1,000 × table rate. Actual policy cost-of-insurance charges can differ materially based on the contract, carrier, underwriting class, duration, net amount at risk, guarantees and other policy provisions.
